    Authentic 1920's Sterling Silver New York City Fire Department Medal by Dieges & Clust in original box.  It was to be awarded for best essay on safeguarding the home against fire.  Minor signs of age, no damage.  Hallmarked D&C Sterling.  Dieges & Clust were jewelers established in New York in 1898 by Col. Charles Joseph Dieges (1865-1953) and Prosper Clust (1873-1933).  Please inspect pictures before bidding/buying.
