This 1963 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk is a beautiful, European-inspired Brooks Stevens' masterpiece. Studebaker brought in Stevens to redesign its Hawk line with the intention to refresh its current vehicle offerings. The updated GT Hawk body style saw the 50s-style rear tail fins disappear, and featured an updated radiator frame and a Thunderbird-inspired roofline. The new aerodynamic-looking Gran Turismo was only produced by Studebaker for a few years since Studebaker went under just a short time later. The standard Studebaker 289 Cubic Inch V8 motor powers this interesting piece of automotive history and is paired with a Single 4 Barrel Carburetor, which together pushed out 225 horsepower. The 289 V8 is mated to a 2 Speed Automatic Transmission, making this classic Studebaker an easy car for anybody to drive. With dual exhaust, this Gran Turismo Hawk has a great sound. This Gran Turismo is also equipped with Power Steering which is always a very desirable convenience-oriented option. The exterior trim on this Studebaker gives this Gran Turismo its unique look and presents well. The exterior of this Gran Turismo Hawk has been refinished in Velvet Black basecoat/clearcoat. The bias-ply Wide Whitewall Tires and Full Wheel Covers are correct as well and complete the exterior look of this GT Hawk. The interior of this Studebaker Gran Turismo is stunning! The White and Black Vinyl Front Bucket Seats with Center Console and Rear Bench appear to be brand new and are in excellent condition. The black carpeting also appears to be brand new and looks amazing. The dash and steering wheel are in their stock configuration and give the interior a futuristic look. The Gran Turismo is also equipped with full instrumentation, including a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, amp gauge, water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and an electric clock. This GT also comes with a Studebaker All Transistor AM/FM pushbutton radio, which was an option back in 1963. The padded dash is in wonderful shape as well. Whether you're a Studebaker collector or you're looking for your first classic, this 1963 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk would be an excellent choice. Give us a call today!
