  • Condition: The ribbon is in excellent condition with the material having minimal wear if any with minor soiling. The ribbon looks like it was pinned together and as such it has four pin holes where it was pinned to fold it on itself. You can still see the creases where it was folded. The medal is in great condition and I would grade it as about uncirculated with all its details being well preserved and having minimum wear and a beautiful patina. The golden coloring of the lettering on the ribbon is all there with no wear. There is no appreciable staining to the ribbon and the back is really in super condition since it was never exposed to dirt or the sun. Just a great piece in excellent condition after over 32 years of being around. Please see photos for additional condition details.

    Description:
    A nice ribbon from the 107th Annual Convention of NJ State Fireman's Association which took place on September 14 and 15, 1984 in Wildwood NJ. The ribbon which is purple in color and has a silky shiny appearance has a medal attached to its bottom and a framed celluloid banner with a pin back on top. The banner on top has a gold color frame and reads "LIFE MEMBER." The medal which is a nicely toned brass colored material depicts the arms of New Jersey in the center surrounded by the words New Jersey Fireman's Assn. Est. 1885. This is a most interesting piece and would make a great addition to your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

    The medal has a mark on the back which we are unable to read or identify.
    Size:
    Ribbon is ~6 1/2" long including the medal and ~1 5/8" wide. The medal on the bottom is ~1 3/4" in diameter. The entire piece weighs a bit over one ounce.
