    Description

    This great piece of fire fightling memorabilia is a badge created for the September, 1913 New York  Convention of the International Association of Fire Engineers.  The 1 1/4" diameter badge is brass and is inlaid with red enamel.  The silk ribbon is purple and has faded and is frayed and curled.  It is still somewhat legible saying:
    INTERNATIONAL / CONVENTION / ASSOCIATE / MEMBER
    .  The badge bears the manufacturer's mark:
    C. G. Braxmar N.Y.
    The badge is in excellent condition but the ribbon is as stated.
