    Description

What an amazing Antique Fireman Convention Badge this is! I haven’t seen one like it and doubt I will again. This is a Fireman (or likely a Volunteer Fireman) Ribbon from N. Tonawanda N.Y. It was worn at the convention, this one was for the 3rd annual in July 1902. The maker information is on the back of the ribbon. This is a unique ribbon badge, the etched graphic of the old hose truck is awesome as are the writing on the silver colored metal bars (rungs?) especially considering most of these were probably done by hand or rudimentary machinery. Fair to good overall condition, but it does have some wear and scratches on the silver colored plates and has some general wear due to age, particularly to the ribbon itself. Best I describe it is there are a couple of tears in the ribbon material that don’t go all the way across, but one is large. These rips or tears are very well shown in the photos. This ribbon is priced according to condition. In mint condition, ribbons like this have sold for over 0. This is extremely nice and hard to find early Fireman’s Convention Ribbon Badge. Look over all the photos and if you have any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking!
