Description
This listing is for an antique Fireman's Parade Badge from North Tonawanda N.Y. It reads: Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association North Tonawanda, N.Y. There is a celluloid button with a lithograph of a fireman on it. That button is marked: PAT. W. & H. Co Newark, N.J. The brass backing is marked: Made by Whitehead and Hoag Co., Newark, N.J. Brass Molders Brass and silver workers Union of N.A. Makers of Union made Badges.The city of North Tonawanda, originally a ward of Tonawanda village, was separately incorporated (1865) and became a city in 1897.
The pins still works great. It is stamped on the back of the ribbon North Tonawanda New York in silver as well. There is only very minor loss/wear to the silver stamping. Over all it is in great condition. It is very old. Check out the pictures, they are always part of the description as well.
