Frito Lay Cool Ranch Flavor Doritos Big Grab Bag Vintage Mid 1980s Framed

Original Frito Lay Cool Ranch flavor tortilla chips Big Grab Doritos bag with a copyright date of 1984 on the front of the bag (see Photo 9). On the back of the bag near the bottom is 8-86(32) and the 8-86 could refer to August 1986.  Cool Ranch flavor Doritos tortilia chips appeared on the market for the first time in 1986.  The 1984 could have been when the Cool Ranch flavor name was first copyrighted or it could have some other reason for the 1984 copyright date (the 1984 copyright date is under the symbol on the bag for Grab Bags and the 1984 copyright date could have something to do with the Grab Bag packaging).  I have only seen a couple of these Big Grab Cool Ranch flavored tortilia chip bags online and each of them has the same 1984 copyright date on the front.
In faded blue ink on the front of the bag is 59 cents which was the price of the bag (see Photo 8).  The bag is set in a wood frame under red matting and is also under glass. The framed dimensions measure approximately 15.5 inches in width and 13.5 inches in height. The visible area of the bag that is not covered by the matting measures approximately 10.5 inches in width and 8.5 inches in height.

The bright white areas and the shadows on the glass are due to light reflections when I took the photos.  The framed vintage bag, the matting, glass, and wood frame are in very good condition.  This vintage bag seldom comes up for sale and this bag has been professionally framed and is ready to hang on your wall.
