Description
Up for auction is a jigger glass featuring Holland House Cocktail Mix.It has their logo on one side and the measuring guide (a quarter to a full jigger) on the other. It was made by the Continental Can Company - it has the three C’s on the bottom.
The measurements are 2 ½ inches tall, about 1-5/8 inches in diameter at the top, and it weighs 2-1/8 ounces. The condition is good but used with some scratches.
Also, there is a lines defect in the glass right above the word Holland.
According to my research, the Holland House was a luxury hotel in New York.
Its namesake cocktail was developed in 1862 and became the house drink.
In 1887 the Holland House Sales Company of Woodside, New York was established and began selling cocktail mixes.
Continental Can Company acquired Hazel-Atlas Glass Company in 1956.
