I recently picked this up at an estate auction in Ozark, Arkansas... it was found stored in an old trunk in the attic along with some WW1 & WW2 photos and medals, I was unable to obtain the photos and medals as there were some family friends and relatives present who wanted them more than I did. The flag is I believe linen and it has 8 white panels sewn together with 3 red panels sewn together in the middle to form the red cross (see photos). It has some markings that are faded out and hard to read, but I can make out that it was manufactured by the U.S. FLAG U.S. SIGNAL CO., and from what I could find on line I believe it was made originally circa 1920 to 1940. Overall condition is good with normal wear, it has some staining and one very tiny hole. Measures approximately 66-1/2" x 45". Cool vintage Red Cross flag to add to your collection!!
