    ARTIFACT:
    This is a mint circa 1890's Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Belvidere, New Jersey funerary procession memorial ribbon. The black ribbon has a silver bullion tassel at the bottom. It was made by Edward H. Schlechter of Allentown, Pennsylvania and has a nice paper manufacturer label on reverse.
    VINTAGE:
    Circa 1890's.
    SIZE:
    Approximately 9-1/2” in height and 2-5/8” in width.
    CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
    Silk, silver bullion tassel, plated brass, paper tag.
    ATTACHMENT:
    Horizontal safety pin on bar.
    MARKINGS:
    EDWARD H. SCHLECHTER 540 Hamilton St., Allentown, Pa. paper manufacturer tag.
