    Description

    The item for sale is a Life Member medal or badge from the 63rd Annual Convention of the New Jersey State Firemens Association that occurred in Atlantic City, NJ during 1940.  The medal includes a shield shaped white metal or pewter medallion and a blue ribbon.  The medallion design includes two detailed female figures and fire fighting implements.  The top of the medallion is patriotic with US flags and an eagle.  There is a blue fabric ribbon hanging from the medallion has information about the convention.  The badge was manufactured by M. D'Ver of Bergenfield, NJ. The medal was previously owned.  The condition is essentially pristine.  The medal was probably only worn once if at all.  There is no wear.  The ribbon is pristine as well.  The original card of the manufacturer is still present.  The medal is still wrapped in its original wrapper that was opened on one side.  The total length of the medal is 102 mm.  The width and length of the medallion are 36 mm and 42 mm.
