VINTAGE 1930s WALKER AUSTEX PRODUCTS MEXICAN FOOD ADVERTISING HOOK AUSTIN, TEXAS

Description

This is a vintage spindle hook, to hold receipts, bills and papers. The hook is attached to a small advertising sign of sorts. It is celluloid on tin, similar to an old pin back button. It reads: "ASK for WALKER PRODUCTS" and it pictures a can of Mexene Chili Powder Seasoning, a can of Red Hot Tamales and a can of Chile Con Carne. These products were made by the Walker Austex Chile Company, of Austin, Texas." The oval section measures 2 & 3/4 inches long by 2 inches wide. The overall condition is FAIR to GOOD. There is a little fading to the colors - not too bad. Slight soiling to the white background. The front celluloid surface has a couple of very fine cracks - hardly noticeable, but needs to be mentioned. It still displays very nicely. It does not have a date, but I think this is from the 1930's - give or take. It is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
