A note to all Ebay buyers:
Please note that Israeli mail service to some countries is limited because of the global pandemic and there are delays in the shipment and arrival of items to all destinations. This auction is for a rare vintage 1910's-1930's bronze medal that was awarded for acts of heroism to French or Belgian firefighters
Made by Belgian sculptor and medalist
    Pierre de Soete
    (1886- 1948)
    Signed: P. de Soete
Medal mounted on a wooden stand which is marked:
    Brevet De Sauvetage
    (Lifesaving Certificate)
This is a round bronze relief medal with a realistic representation of an exhausted fireman with a French helmet model 1885 which takes the form of a French military helmet (Adrian helmet), a style frequently seen during the First World War, but with a larger rim. There is a small shield insignia above his left shoulder.
    Size:
6.9 cm in diameter wide and 0.3 cm thick.
The wooden stand is 11.5 cm tall and 13.3 cm wide.
This is a very high quality and craftsmanship work.

The item is clearly a very fine quality art work showing some age old patina.
I did not attempt to clean it since I have no idea how to do it properly.
An extremely attractive and well-made piece!
